Top 5 quiz games

Quiz games are trendy and here are several lists on this topic. Trivia Crack returns with a new and improved version that does more than just add a fresh coat of paint. Trivia Crack 2 (Android, iOS) includes new game modes such as a head-to-head time attack mode called Tower Challenge as well as daily challenges and tasks – all of which you can play against your Facebook friends or random opponents. The Classic mode that Trivia Crack is built on is still here, as players compete to collect themed charcters that mirror trivia categories. This version has added more characters to collect depending on the question themes. The app’s advertising does come on a bit strong in Trivia Crack 2, though a VIP subscription removes ads and provides in-game perks such as endless lives, special packs and discounts. You can also stick to the original Trivia Crack (Android, iOS), which has just introduced a new live trivia showdown mode featuring cash prizes, very much in the style of HQ Trivia.

The question-and-answer format of most trivia games can get a little mundane, which is why games like Linkee by Bananagrams switch things up a little bit. Instead of simply answering questions in this trivia challenge, players race to figure out the connection between questions, shouting out the answer as soon as they have it. It can be played with anywhere from two to 30 people, and it’s best for players over age 14. In the box, you’ll receive 1,400 questions, as well as four pencils, four answer pads and a rule guide. To play, you’ll answer the four questions on each card, then try to figure out the link between them. When you figure it out, simply shout “Linkee” to win the round. Unlike many other trivia games, Linkee moves quickly, and games usually take around 30 minutes to complete – a nice and short game if you’re crunched for time.

I mean this with no disrespect, but The Q is the trivia app equivalent to The Little Tank Engine Who Could. This app popped up shortly after HQ Trivia began making waves in beta for both iOS and Android, and I’ve been tracking its growth through to 2018. I appreciate the lack of an annoying and pointless chat system, and the player pool is significantly smaller than HQ or Live.me, but The Q is the one app I’ve seen taking trying new things. They now regularly holding Survivor games where the questions keep coming until one player remains. They’ve also advertised some fun theme nights, including a Star Wars trivia show around the premiere of The Last Jedi.
