Types of Blinds : Faux Wood Blinds: Faux wood blinds are more durable and moisture resistant than real wood. This type of blind is often used in high humidity spaces, such as the kitchen, bathroom, or garage if the look of wood is desired.

How do I measure my own blind? Decide whether you want your blinds to fit inside or outside the window recess. For outside the recess measure the width and drop of the area over the window you want to cover and provide these exact measurements. For a blind to fit inside the recess take three measurements across the width in millimetres (top, middle and bottom) and three measurements for the drop (left, middle and right) and use the smallest measurement taken for both width and drop.

Join our Everest trekking camp in April 2019

Top advices : Help save the environment and your pocket book. Just fill water as you go for free anywhere and purify it yourself. Steripens work great using ultraviolet light to purify water in 30 seconds.

A slow pace is critical: Slow and Steady. When taking on a challenge like hiking to Everest Base Camp, or any long trek/climb, you have to remember that it is a marathon, not a sprint. Acclimatization to the low levels of oxygen in the mountains requires you to take your time, to slowly get your body used to lack of oxygen. All the research suggests, spending more time at 3,500m/ 11,500ft. So we spend 3 nights acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar. This is absolutely key to your success in the mountains. There is never a time on the trek where you should need to walk at a fast pace, you should only be walking at a pace that you can carry on a conversation with others, without feeling too much exertion physically. Obviously, there are tougher sections throughout the trek where you may need to stop talking and catch your breath, however you always want to try and keep your pace to a snail’s pace, not a rabbit’s! More acclimatization means a safer and more enjoyable trekking experience.

180retreats is launching a trekking expedition on the Everest in April 2019, read more on Everest Base Trekking Camp. Our first night will include a rooftop sunset on our hotel where we’ll gather for opening circle and some light yoga. We’ll catch an early dinner with optional dancing at a traditional Nepalese spot popular among natives and westerners alike.

We recommend : On your way to Namche Bazaar, Stop for lunch at Jorsale just past the suspension bridge. it is the final place for any food or water until Namche which is 2 hours straight up! You will need your energy for this climb.

Make Sure to Eat Enough – We provide three meals a day on the trek and a hot drink with each meal. If you’re hungry Dal Bhatt will be your best option as it is served as an all you can eat dish. This is the traditional Nepali dish that consists of rice, dal, a vegetable and a papad (fry bread) and pickle. We recommend the vegetarian options since the meat on the mountain is not very hygienic. It’s okay to eat the Yak cheese and eggs but take it easy on the cheese. Here is a good video showing the typical food and menu options.
