Scandalous fashion lines history

Shocking clothing lines history! Fashion doesn’t have the greatest track record when it comes to blackface. Every year, it seems a new blackface controversy surfaces, with a new model at the center. This year, it was Gigi Hadid, who appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia sporting what some saw as a suspiciously dark tan. As BBC pointed out, many of Hadid’s followers were quick to point out her darkened appearance in the image, which was shot by Steven Klein. Others flat out called the image blackface. The criticism prompted the 23-year-old model to apologize. She shared a statement on Twitter along with a photo of herself post-shoot, with bronze makeup still on her face.

Alexander McQueen’s Fall/Winter 1995 Collection, “Highland Rape”, McQueen was one of the greatest provocateurs in the fashion industry, so it’s no surprise that another one of his shows makes this list. For his Fall/Winter 1995 show, Highland Rape, McQueen sent out models bruised and battered wearing tattered clothes of tartan and lace. With some thinking that McQueen was promoting violence against women, the backlash was swift. But, in McQueen’s eyes, the show was meant to represent the ethnic cleansing of the Scottish Highlands by British soldiers during the 18th and 19th centuries and the ensuing controversy upset the designer, especially since he cared so much about designing clothes that empowered women.

Kendall + Kylie Jenner Selfie “Vintage” Band Tees, Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s eponymous clothing line has had its ups and downs this year. The sisters found themselves in the center of a firestorm of controversy after releasing “vintage” band t-shirts that featured their faces photoshopped over music legends. Not only did many people find the designs offensive and morally reprehensible, apparently Kendall and Kylie didn’t have legal permission to use most of the images either.

Rather than casting traditional models in her Spring/Summer 2009 show, the notoriously zany Brit designer Westwood chose to use members of the Roma community to showcase her gypsy-inspired designs at Milan Fashion Week. At the time, tensions between gypsies and Italians were running especially high, so it was a problematic and provocative choice. The collection and the concept of the show were both criticized by a member of the city’s council, Tiziano Maiolo, who said: “I think the designer has a romantic notion about gypsies that is 100 years out of date. If she wants, I will take her on a tour of the nomad camps. These people do not want to work, they live by thieving and they have no respect for the law.” But once again it seems like fashion succeeded in putting its finger right on the trickiest aspects of contemporary social life. Questionable, or exquisite taste? Provocateur campaigner-designer Westwood would have you decide.

Another controversial fashion line is Headhunters Line, a very bold fashion line that already generated a lot of controversy. Sex, guns, upsetting message, this fashion clothing line has them all. Read extra details at Headhunters Collection.

Find businesses to buy

Top buy and sell business brokerage? There are several platforms where you can sell your business or buy a an established business. Businesses are bought and sold every day, maybe you want to enter a new market or you want to exit a market. Maybe you think your business will develop to a new level with another owner and you reached the ceiling of how high you can expand it. Let’s see some successful business deals and discuss a little about places where you can buy or sell a business.

Any business can be sold! Even websites, that are not really businesses, can be sold for a lot of money. The website Ugo was founded in 1997 as Unified Gamers Online (UGO) by Chris Sherman.Action World Inc. bought them very early on and decided to rename the business. They changed the name to UGO Networks, however the name didn’t stick for long as it was once again changed to Online Underground. Eventually it was sold on to the Hearst Corporation approximately $100 million. Fotolog was founded by Scott Heiferman, in 2002, and unfortunately the site began to have problems just 3yrs later in 2005 when the amount of visitors and members started to become too much for the websites servers. The website itself currently receives over 20 million unique visitors each month and was sold to Hi-Media Group for the tidy sum of $90 Million.

Tips for selling a business: Finding the right broker and/or consultant to help you sell your business is crucial to your success. Often business owners go with the first person they meet just to list their business and get the process going. This can cost you time and money in the long run. Within a few months, you may see no results and have to go on the search all over again. Taking time to interview many brokers and looking at a realistic outcome of what is expected will get you going in the right direction. In my case, I signed up with the first broker I spoke with. He seemed like the perfect person to sell my business. After all, he had a background in retail (and that was my industry), he was friendly and best of all he came up with a BIG price tag. Unfortunately, it was too good to be true because he was asking too much. By raising the price he got me to sign the contract but never made the sale. After six wasted months without even a lead, I finally decided to move on. Learning from my mistake, I interviewed 12 more brokers before signing another contract. Looking for more of a side-hustle rather than a full-time business to take over? Start with SideProjectors. It’s the marketplace to go to if you’re looking for something to do on the side of your 9-5 job and there are usually online businesses or projects for sale here at more accessible price points. SideProjectors is also a great place for sellers to go to list those projects that they put a little bit of time and effort into but didn’t totally build out into a fully-fledged business so they can get a little bit of a return on their investment. Never leave a side project abandoned again, just use SideProjectors to transfer the assets and operations to someone willing to pick up the task. SideProjectors does not handle any part of the sales process, they just help connect buyers and sellers, so it’s important to thoroughly conduct your own due diligence if you choose to buy or sell on their platform. This also means that they don’t offer an escrow service so it’s up to buyers and sellers to work out their own payment strategy.

As for FE International, I’ll start by saying that the cheapest website I found on their marketplace was listed for $27,300. So in that respect, FE International is probably not a good place for newbie website investors to start their website investing journey. Sure, the possibility of getting scammed is lower, but you will have to be ready to shell out $30k, $40k or more for your first deal. I am not sure that’s a great idea unless you have money laying around and want to have fun. Last time I checked with FE International (2017), in order to get the information on a listing, you need to sign an NDA with them. You fill out a form (example below), and they email you to review and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. If you are serious, this shouldn’t pose as a problem, and the listing itself is enough to tickle your mind. I am hesitant to notice that multiples are higher on FE International compared to Empire Flippers because many factors come into play and a more serious comparison between the two is necessary.

Bonanza, listed as “…the best eBay alternative we’ve seen” by Ecommerce-guide, underwent a name change in 2010 and went from ‘Bonanzle’ to ‘Bonanza’. Like Amazon, Bonanza has roots in Seattle. Their current revenue is difficult to find, however, we do know Bonanza has had two rounds of funding. Setting up a booth on Bonanza is free, as is posting your items for sale…but there is a percentage that goes to the site when items are purchased. Consumers will enjoy this site; the navigation is very simple to use. To the left of the image placeholder are four dynamic section links; above the placeholder is a navigation bar with three links and a search bar. The links are listed as “For Her”, “For Him”, and “For Everyone”. Hovering over these links produces a quick-link list with categories.

Best welding tricks

Best welding tips: how to become a more skilled welder and how to pick the best welding equipment. Use the smallest tungsten that will get the job done. Use the smallest tungsten to get the job done. …within reason. Another way of saying this is don’t just use a 1/8” electrode for everything. There are jobs where a 1/8” electrode is great like for welding 3/16” thick aluminum. But what if you are welding on the edge of a .030” turbine blade? A .040” electrode will be plenty to handle the 15 amps and will give much better starts than even a 1/16” electrode. Too large an electrode can cause an erratic arc and contamination…and A bad start where the high frequency tries to arc up inside the cup and off the side of the tungsten can easily melt off a thin edge and scrap an expensive part. 2% thoriated or lanthanated tungsten electrodes hold up at high amperage better than most all other electrodes. When welding at higher amperages, often times you can use one size smaller electrode by using 2% thoriated or lanthanated. And that is a good thing.

Set the machine so that you are at welding amperage with the foot pedal depressed about 3/4 of the way: Set the machine so that you are at welding amperage with the foot pedal depressed about 3/4 of the way. The 1/4 pedal that you have left is for just in case reserve, just like driving a car.. Having the amperage set this way gives a lot more control than just setting the machine to 200 amps and controlling everything with the foot pedal. I don’t know about you but sometimes I lose focus when welding long periods. I don’t want any chance of welding with 200 amps if all I need is 50 amps. My ankles pop sometimes too, one ankle pop and you might jump or drop 30 amps if your machine amperage is too high.

Look for ways to support your hands. Having good support for your hands or arms is crucial for moving the torch with precise control. I do my best welding when the base of my hands or my wrists is supported in some way. Often you can rest your wrists on the part being welded. I keep an assortment of wood and metal blocks near my welding bench, and I often can get better support by positioning a block to rest my torch hand on. There are occasions where I rest my forearms, or even my elbows, on something for support. Many welders set up special support bars, positioned parallel to the joint being welded, and they slide their torch hand along the bar to help follow the joint with fine control. For some out-of-position work, I’ve had to rely on resting only my shoulder on something, and while not ideal, it’s better than having no support at all. Even placing my hip against something stationary can offer a bit of support, but I can’t weld very well when standing ‘free,’ with no support at all.

Searching for the best Welding Equipment? We recommend Welding Supplies Direct & Associate company TWS Direct Ltd is an online distributor of a wide range of welding supplies, welding equipment and welding machines. Following some simple tips can help you take your MIG welding operation to the next level and ensure you are as safe, efficient and professional as any other shop. Welding helmets, gloves, close-toed shoes and clothes that fully cover exposed skin are essential. Make sure you wear flame-resistant natural fibers such as denim and leather, and avoid synthetic materials that will melt when struck by spatter, potentially causing burns. Also, avoid wearing pants with cuffs or shirts with pockets, as these can catch sparks and lead to injuries.
